Wash Maxx

Ask anyone who washes here and they will tell you Wash Maxx is one of the cleanest laundromats in Houston. That comes up again and again, and it holds up: the machines are in great shape, the place is kept spotless, and regulars who have been coming since it opened say it looks as good now as it did on day one. If your apartment complex has you fighting broken machines, this is the kind of spot that fixes that headache in one trip. The attendant on duty is a big part of the reputation.

Both the daytime and evening shifts get plenty of praise for staying on the move, keeping things tidy, and helping people who are new to the setup. One regular described the evening attendant as always doing something, keeping the floor nice and clean. We will say the word is mixed on one of the daytime staff, with the odd grumble about attitude, but that is the exception in a place people generally rave about. Payment here runs on a card system rather than coins.

You get a laundry card to run the washers and dryers, and folks appreciate that they were not charged for the card itself. A heads up from more than one person: the instructions for extending dryer time could be clearer, so ask the attendant if you are unsure. A couple of longtime coin loyalists do miss the old change machines, so if you strongly prefer quarters, know it is card-based now. The big machines are a real draw.

People with comforters and bulky family loads point to them as the reason they pick this place, and there is a large, comfortable waiting area with free Wi-Fi to make the wait easy. It is known for fair value too. It can feel a little cramped when busy, and parking takes some patience, but neither seems to keep the regulars away. Open early and into the evening daily, Wash Maxx also handles wash-and-fold drop-off, pickup and delivery, and commercial accounts if you would rather hand the whole chore off.
